Company History

In 1988, founder Phil Firth of Tamworth, New South Wales, Australia, began to build his own cattle chutes for use on his family’s farm. Local veterinarians were intrigued by the designs Firth created, as they made working with cattle much safer and easier on the people and the animals. Firth began to sell his machines to people in the area, and his designs were soon very popular in the greater Australian cattle industry.

Fifteen years later, the Firths joined up with the Canadian Langrell family to build cattle chutes for the North American market. Both families had generations of experience in cattle ranching, which meant that their designs were both innovative and thoughtfully made to suit the specific needs of cattle ranchers the world over.
