The Calving Pen is built for maximum safety, control, and low-stress livestock handling when working with vulnerable animals in high-pressure situations. Designed as a circular pen, the Calving Pen works with cattle's instincts, naturally guiding them safely into the head gate using a sweep gate with stops for handler safety.

Traction from the full-length poly-cleat floor provides stability, lowering animal stress and improving confidence. To access different parts of the animal, top and bottom, individually locked doors are located on both sides of the pen. If a calf needs to be pulled, fully open the 7.5’ back gate for unbeatable access when it matters most.

The Calving Pen also features adjustable swing and crowd gates to better suit your operation and tailor to the height of your livestock. These gates allow for 6” of adjustability, which is critical to help with the safety of all involved.

Animals placed in the Calving Pen often need time to recuperate after a procedure. The self-catch head gate is designed to open back into the pen to keep the animal safe while allowing the rancher to closely monitor the animal while it is in recovery. If it’s a simple procedure, such as helping a calf nurse, and you don’t need to keep the animal in the pen, the head gate also opens away from the pen so your cattle can walk out with ease.

The half circle design of the Calving Pen ensures that cattle are easily moved with the sweep gate into the self-catch head gate. With no corners for stressed-out cattle to back into, they can be safely handled in the pen. The sweep gate also allows the handler to control the cow without having to physically get into the pen, so they can stay safely out of harm’s way.

When the sweep gate is locked onto the back gate, the Calving Pen transforms into a basic chute with a full-length poly-cleat floor to keep cattle stationary when undergoing a procedure.

Featuring a wide 7.5’ back gate, the Calving Pen provides full, wide-open access for pulling calves. Additionally, the top and bottom split doors on both sides of the pen have independent locks, offering full side access to the animal while keeping livestock securely contained.

The adjustability of the gates also allows you to customize the calving pen to suit your operation's needs. For added flexibility, the entire pen can be carried by tractor while fully assembled, saving time and effort when moving between locations.

The redesigned head gate also opens both toward and away from the calving pen using simple controls so you can easily catch and release cattle from the pen.
